The Majestic Metro was designed and built in 1926 by Houston architect William Ward Watkin, whose numerous nationally recognized projects include the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, the Houston Public Library, Rice University, and the home of Howard Hughes. The Majestic Metro was restored and converted into an event venue in the 1990s and has been hosting events in Downtown Houston since.
